Martha Kelly AIWS, CS, is the owner and lead educator at Capital Wine School, holds the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 4 Diploma, and became a WSET Certified Educator in 2010. Martha brings together her passions: wine and teaching here at The Cottage & Backyard Show. Her teaching, writing, and experience in the service industry, enable her to bring relevance to the world of wine and spirits her talks. Martha also earned her Certified Sommelier credential from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2012 and is an active wine judge. Mike Reynolds is a former home builder and project manager, having worked a dozen years building energy efficient and passively heated homes. Mike is a co-founder of Ecohome, and the editor of Ecohome.net, a national green building web resource. His efforts to improve home performance include teaching, consulting and writing for a number of national websites and publications.
Mike's current focus is on Ecohome's Net Zero Heat program, a building philosophy and design service that takes passive home heating to new levels, using regional climate data to build homes that can be heated exclusively by the sun. This initiative has earned Ecohome a 'Home of the Year' award from Green Builder © Media.
